Editor’s Note: In Playmate Flashback, we look back at classic moments in the fifty-year-history of the Playboy Playmate.
Call it “risqué business.” In 2009, Playboy and the Guitar Hero video game franchise joined forces for a sexy TV commercial filmed at the Mansion. The cast included Hef’s fiancée, Miss December 2009 Crystal Harris, Playmates of the Year Tiffany Fallon (2005), Kara Monaco (2006), Ida Ljungqvist (2009) and Hope Dworaczyk (2010), Karissa and Kristina Shannon, Hiromi Oshima, Stacy Fuson, Tiffany Selby and Brittany Binger. The ten Playmates dressed down to nothing but men’s dress shirts, underwear and socks while doing their best imitations of Tom Cruise dancing to Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll” in the classic ’80s film Risky Business.
Of course, the commercial–directed by Brett Ratner–wouldn’t have been complete without Hef, who delivers the punchline while lounging in his patented silk pajamas. “The game is very popular and youth-oriented,” Hef said during the shoot. “It’s a perfect Playboy connection.”
